American Express has a fantastic opportunity for a decisive Financial Analyst to oversee the development and filing of statutory financial statements and regulatory reporting for our UK operating companies.
Joining the team in Burgess Hill, as a Financial Analyst you will prepare statutory and regulatory reports and analyse financial data to support external audits and regulatory reviews.
You’ll report to the Manager UK External Reporting, providing compelling insight on emerging financial reporting standards, while also overseeing the maintenance of controls to ensure the integrity of our financial data.

Qualifications:
• ACCA / ACA Accountant or equivalent accountancy qualification • Previous in depth finance experience. • A strong financial accounting / reporting background including understanding of regulatory requirements. • Knowledge of Local GAAP and reporting requirements. • Basic knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS. • High proficiency in MS-Office applications and Essbase/analytical software. • Change and project management exposure. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
