My Client, a leading asset management firm, is looking to hire an experienced Expense manager. The role provides an excellent opportunity to join a growing business in a varied role. The successful applicant will be diligent, meticulous and committed to developing their career within a prestigious financial services organisation. The main purpose of the role is to ensure expense accounts are accurate and analysed correctly to support and drive business decisions. It requires the successful applicant to establish and develop relationships with business areas to deliver reports and analyse variances to budget, as well as the drivers to those variances. You will also be responsible for managing one direct report.
Responsibilities *Ownership of all expenses in the organisation *Monthly forecasting and annual business plan. Models must be fit for purpose, stakeholders managed and deadlines met. *Ownership of cost allocation model *Pro-actively challenge the status quo, ensuring expense allocation of the business is met *Producing a monthly pack highlighting expense movements *Developing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Wealth Management Finance *Managing, developing and appraising direct reports *Ad hoc and on-going process improvements
Key skills *ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant (or equivalent) *strong experience in Cost Accounting / Expense reporting environment (financial services preferable) *Strong academic background (2:1 or equivalent at university) *High level of personal confidence, able to lead and manage *Proven ability to be able to positively affect business through affective cost/expense management *Track record of successful process improvement
