One of the leading Museums in London is seeking an Assistant Group Accountant for their finance team.
As with all charities & public bodies there is an over-riding need to be cost effective and to be seen by Government, opinion formers and the general public as good value. To fulfil this need Managers delivering services throughout the Museum need to be well supported by a modern pro-active Finance unit.
Purpose of Job:
To assist and support the Senior Financial Accountant in ensuring that the Museum's financial records are accurate and complete and that appropriate, accurate and timely information is provided to staff that need it. You will help to ensure that finance systems, processes and controls are operating efficiently and effectively.
*Part qualified financial accountant (ACA, ACCA, and CIMA or equivalent). *Exposure to financial accounting skills with experience of charities SORP accounting. *Hands-on experience of MS Dynamics NAV combined with strong Excel skills. *Ability to produce and maintain procedures and supporting documentation. *Willingness to learn new skills. *Strong communication skills. *Ability to work to tight deadlines in a busy and varied environment. *Responsible and professional attitude to work, with a conscientious and meticulous approach. *Experience of balance sheet reconciliations with hands on experience of inter-company & fixed assets
