The Risk Department is broadly organised according to the main risk classes; Market Risk, Credit Risk and Operational Risk and Prudential Regulation. The Risk Department provides senior management with an independent view of the principal risks taken by individual business units.
A number of global change programmes have been initiated in the Risk Division, in particular Basel Committee on Banking Supervision initiated programmes to satisfy CAD2/Basel 2.5, IMM, Basel 3 and CRDiV, as well as upcoming regulations covering Firm-Wide Data Submission Framework (FDSF), risk data aggregation under BCBS 239; Fundamental Review of the Trading Book and Enhancements to the Securitisation Framework.
The key responsibilities for this role are:
*Develop analysis documentation standards to clearly define and communicate the BRD's design & implementation of the most appropriate solutions to meet those requirements.
*Comfortable writing/reviewing the necessary documentation pertaining to projects detailing current and future state requirements for tactical and strategic solutions
*Ability and confidence to collaborate with risk officers both locally and in globally dispersed regions, gaining both insight into requirements, priorities and specific needs, but also to maintain expectations and lead their thinking through end-to-end solutions (both process and technology).
*Understanding of entire market/credit risk lifecycle and ability to provide challenge where improvements or efficiencies may be made
Skills and experience required: *Extensive experience of working on Market/Credit Risk projects as a business analyst
*A good overall understanding of Banking and Trading book Market Risk in all its dimensions
*Detailed knowledge of Market/Credit Risk metrics
*Able to understand Risk data structures (Logical and Physical) and proficient in SQL to interrogate underlying information to validate data models
*Attention to detail and high quality standards of documentation, processes and control environment
