One of the biggest global brands is seeking a qualified project accountant for their charitable arm. This world-wide media brand transforms the lives of millions of people in the worlds poorest countries through use of media, operating in over 28 countries.
The Project Accountant is responsible for supporting Project Managers in the project budgeting process, identifying project start-up issues and financial reporting requirements for new projects, and building these into the Finance and Project implementation timetable. They will be the point of contact on a regular basis with finance and management staff in the field and will be relied upon to identify and resolve any financial issues with the Country Directors, Project Managers and/or Project Directors. As there is some development needed in overseas regions, the Project Accountant will also be expected to pro-actively suggest new ways of working and solutions to problems where appropriate, including providing any relevant finance training for Country office staff in compliance areas.
This is a great role for someone who is looking to make their first move out of practice who has a passion for the international development sector. You will be given first-class training with good development opportunities across the business.
Candidates must be qualified (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) to apply, and will have excellent communication skills in order to develop strong working relationships with staff in the UK and overseas.
Some international travel may be required but this is not extensive.
