Job Description
A top 10 global consulting firm, our client is in the process of building out its financial services risk & regulation consulting business. One of the key hires in this team is a Senior Manager or Associate Director to help grow and develop the prudential regulation service line. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing a client strategy to ensure growth of the prudential team's P&L, as well as overseeing the delivery of projects and recruitment of new team members.

Responsibilities will cover the following:


Regulatory project advice and implementations, covering topics such as capital and liquidity advisory (including PRA's ICAAP and ILAA frameworks), conduct of business, client money and transaction reporting, etc)
Gap analysis/impact assessment of forthcoming prudential regulatory changes
Practical interpretation and implementation of Basel 3/EU CRR capital and liquidity rules and regulatory reporting requirements
Benchmarking reviews of compliance arrangements against competitors
Shadow Section 166/Section 166 exercises and follow up of remediation
Assistance for firms in seeking PRA/FCA authorisations and full support for initial regulatory procedure writing
Preparing for PRA/FCA interactions/themed visits and pre/post visit remediation work
Risk and governance reviews of organisations, their plans and their structures, often reporting to board level
Ad hoc work on transaction support, individual financial rule interpretations and individual "hotline" advice


Significant experience of working in a similar role in a recognised accounting firm Regulatory Compliance team
Proven experience of generating new client revenue with a significant existing network
Detailed technical knowledge Basel 3/CRDIV/CRR rules.
Knowledge of emerging market practices and new regulation/legislation from Basel Committee, CEBS and EU regulation and directives
Ability to provide considered views, interpretation and impact assessment of current and emerging Basel regulations on operations of Financial Services institutions
Ability to work under own initiative and in many different and challenging environments
Strong presentation, business writing and professional standards
Client centric, flexible and client service orientated approach
Strong people management skills and experience of/enthusiasm for developing and managing a team of professional staff
Ability to build, develop and drive new advisory initiatives and leverage opportunities for growth in the regulatory advisory business
