A FTSE listed global marketing communications group is seeking a qualified Group Finance Manager to oversee a team of 3 in leading year end and interim group reporting, and key group-wide projects. The successful candidate will have the gravitas to influence stakeholders and drive decision making with the senior leadership team, and proactive in driving financial performance from a group level.
The key responsibilities of the role will include: - Lead year end and interim external reporting including preparation of financial accounts and consolidation - Manage the UK statutory accounts process including review of key trading accounts, preparation of investment impairment review, pension and share-based payments disclosures, liaison with other departments i.e. tax, treasury and company secretarial and liaison with external auditors - Lead and oversee the Group annual impairment review - Oversee acquisition and disposal accounting - Identifying and implementing process improvements ensuring consistency and sharing best practice - Partnering the business in driving new initiatives and business performance - Working with non-finance in understanding and interpreting their financial results
As the successful applicant you will be a qualified accountant, ideally qualifying within a Big 4 firm, and with 5 years+ post qualified experience. You will have proven experience or exposure to a Group Accounting environment within a multinational listed business, and have a sound working knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS. Additionally, you will be a confident and pro-active people manager with excellent stakeholder management skills.
