A software consultancy and development company providing custom and tailored solutions in a variety of different industry areas are looking to expand the development team. As use of the solution has rapidly expanded, it has become necessary to expand the team in several areas.
The Senior Software Developer will work with the existing development team on an existing recruitment software assisting the Technical Architect, taking requirements from the customer and or a technical specification document and producing exact and robust code. The individual should have good communication skills and ability to work with team members but lead from the front should the need necessitate, working to agreed Sprint plans, involved with Scrum meetings, providing regular reports, identifying risks and opportunities for progressing resolutions and reviews of code, development testing (system and unit testing), releases for UAT, updating Microsoft TFS, bug-fixing and live support.
- VB.NET web forms development experience - training provided on the company's custom library
- Knowledge of ASP.Net , WCF and web services
- SQL Server 2008 database development - DDL/DML including querying, structure changes, writing SPs, ad- hoc scripting. Experience in performance tuning would be an advantage
- SSRS reports/Report Builder
- Entity Framework
- Experience of WPF/Windows development protocols
- Experience of formal source code configuration management, build and release processes
The successful candidate needs to be driven, confident and with the desire to be part of a team constructing quality software for our clients. There will be many elements to the role from maintenance and development on existing systems, to creation of new modules using existing libraries and development of brand new solutions from scratch.
The competency based interview will include a technical test.
