School Leavers / Graduates
Starting salary £15,500, increasing every 6 months & 3 year training programme + 22 days holiday, rising to 25 days, pension, plus 8% bonus annually
Calling all School Leavers or graduates seeking a career in a client focused insurance environment. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a school leaver with good GCSE/A Level results or recent Graduate who is seeking a training program to progress a career within the insurance sector.
Commencing in either the Claims Team you will be trained to investigate, negotiate and settle claims over a 3 year milestone training period OR in the Underwriting Team you will be responsible for the contribution of operations within agreed underwriting strategy. You will take personal ownership of drafting quotations and handling proposals. There are positions in both teams so you can make a decision on which you'd prefer and be better suited to.
After 6 months' probation you will receive £1000 increase in salary, plus a quarterly increase of 3-4% every quarter for the next 2 years based upon performance and 2 salary increases in your final year.
After the initial training has been completed (approx. 3-6 month) in the claims team you will take responsibility for your own caseloads including fire & theft, windscreen claims and eventually some non-serious personal injury, dealing with solicitors, insurance brokers, loss adjusters and direct contact with customers and third parties.
In the Underwriting team you will take responsibility for your own portfolio of quotation requests and proposals, making amendments to policies, calculate premiums, managing cases and dealing with solicitors, insurance brokers and direct contact with customers and third parties.
* 5 GCSE passes or equivalent (grades A-C) including English and Mathematics
* Experience of working in an office
* Excellent communication skills
* Computer skills
