Legal Administrator - private clients


£18000 - £22000 plus excellent benefits package and training

An opportunity to join a local solicitors practice in Reading in the Private Client department as a Legal Administrator providing administrative support to the fee earners.

  • Secretarial & Administrative support to all fee earners to include, but not limited to:

    • Preparation of correspondence through audio-typing, copy typing and word processing;

    • Retrieving outsourced typing, collate and finalise correspondence for issuing and saving into the case management system;

    • Undertake relevant searches, e.g. OCE, Bankruptcy Searches etc, via the firm's online facilities;

    • Administration of client Files including opening & closing, updating and maintaining

    • Liaising with accounting staff in respect of related queries, invoicing, recording payments & receipts

    • Deal with routine client enquiries and direct & indirect communications

    • Diary management of fee earners

    • Occasional Reception cover

Person Specification

  • Ability to touch-type / to demonstrate typing speeds of at least 60 wpm

  • Some secretarial/administrative experience in legal or professional office

  • Personally efficient and well organised

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, completing high volume of workloads on a daily basis

  • Computer literate and be competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications
