Job Description

You will be responsible for:



  • Month end reporting helping complete the regional and UK requirements working closely with the other financial analysts and teams within the salon division

  • Completing all month end journals on time and accurately working closely with the financial accounting team

  • Working with business partners to review the fixed cost month end results analysing variances and highlighting risks and opportunities for our year end targets

  • Updating the customer support budget database and communicating the level of spend left for salons to each regional team

  • Dealing with queries from the external and internal auditors

  • Completing the COGs reporting at month end and analysing variances versus budget

  • Other Ad hoc tasks to support the business eg working on finance projects, implementing new procedures


Successful candidates will be:



  • Educated to a degree level

  • Part Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)

  • Working in an FMCG or Retail business desirable but not essential

  • Advanced level excel (macro's not required)

  • Have the credibility and leadership capabilities to take a proactive lead position when delegated by the Senior Finance Manager on any aspect of the management accounting responsibilities

  • A self-starter with proactive drive to deliver within challenging time lines. Ability to see the bigger picture and trends whilst maintaining a very high attention to detail

  • Experience in managing and preparing monthly management reporting

  • Good understanding of accounting principles and their application

  • Strong systems experience and mindset. Ideally a good understanding of SAP or other accounting software and advanced Excel user with the ability to manipulate large amounts of data across multiple documents.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to build robust working relationships that allows challenge or influence cross functionally to obtain clarity/understanding and to meet tight time lines

  • Strong commercial acumen, an analytical and inquisitive mindset and a track record of delivering continuous improvements to processes, systems and reporting
