Financial Assistant - part time 30 hours


Woking, Surrey


£12 per hour + parking and holiday


HOURS: Flexi 6 hours per day - times to suit (between 8-5) 30 hours per week


We are seeking a Financial Assistant to manage the finance for a business in Woking using Sage Line 50; starting Monday 17th July (for a 2 week handover) for a minimum period of 3 months possibly longer. You will be supported by an Accountant who comes in 3 days a week.


Duties will include:



  • Setting up new jobs on Sage Job Costing,

  • Preparing invoices on Sage Line 50,

  • Processing payments on bankline

  • Chasing outstanding payments and sending monthly debtors statement and preparing excel spreadsheet

  • Daily Banking, posting payments and receipts to Sage

  • Updating daily cashflow, daily receipts cashflow, monthly gross profit analysis

  • Bank reconciliation.

  • Managing petty cash, supply of funds and ensuring accounted for., validating expense receipts received and entering onto Sage Line 50 and employee expense sheet.

  • Reconcile credit card statements, checking receipts and entering onto Sage.

  • Match supplier invoices to delivery notes, purchase orders and authorised


  • Match sub contractor invoices to job sheets



  • Incoming and outgoing post



  • Prepare VAT and CIS returns



QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE



  • Competent with Microsoft word, excel and Sage Line 50.

  • Bookkeeping experience, able to accurately and competently work with figures.

  • Small business experience preferred

  • Must be available to meet client Tuesday 11th and start Monday 17th
